Gunite Construction
Gunite pools built and repaired in Sacramento.
Steel, gunite, tile and stone, in that order. Structural pool shells, raised spas and custom water features across the Sacramento area.
What we build
Eight things we do, and the order they happen in
Most of this work is invisible once the water goes in. That is the part that decides whether a pool lasts thirty years or five.
- 01Gunite & Shotcrete ConstructionThe structural shell. Concrete applied pneumatically over a tied steel cage, then cured before anything else touches it.
- 02Pool Resurfacing & ReplasteringNew interior finish over a sound shell. Plaster, quartz or pebble, chosen for how long you want to go before doing it again.
- 03Concrete & Gunite RepairsStructural repair to the shell itself. Cracks, spalling, hollow spots and bond beam damage, fixed at the concrete rather than the surface.
- 04Pool RenovationA whole pool brought forward at once. Shell repair, new finish, new tile and coping, and the equipment that runs it.
- 05Deck RenovationThe concrete around the pool. Removal, replacement, drainage and the coping joint where deck meets shell.
- 06Custom FeaturesRaised spas, sheer descents, stacked stone walls, steps and lighting. Built into the structure rather than added to it.
- 07Commercial Pool SolutionsApartment, HOA and hotel pools. Structural repair and resurfacing scheduled around the season and the people using it.
- 08Emergency RepairsActive leaks, structural failures and equipment down. Stabilise first, then work out what the permanent fix is.

Steel first. Everything sprayed on top of it inherits whatever was done here.

How a build goes
Four stages, and nobody skips the third
- 01
Walk the site
We look at access, grade, soil and where the equipment can physically go. Half the cost of a pool is decided before anything is dug.
- 02
Steel and plumbing
The rebar cage is tied and the lines are set. This is the skeleton. Everything sprayed on top of it inherits whatever was done here.
- 03
Gunite and cure
Concrete is applied pneumatically over the cage, then cured. Full design strength takes about twenty eight days. Rushing the cure is how you buy a crack.
- 04
Tile, coping and finish
Waterline tile, coping stone and the interior finish go on last. This is the part people see, and the only part most competitors talk about.
Se habla español
Every crew is bilingual. You can plan a build, ask a question mid job or settle a change order in Spanish or English, with the person actually doing the work rather than through an office.

Send the address and a photo of the yard. We will tell you what is possible on that lot before anyone talks about price.
